*System fits Classsic and New Body Style
In
the model year of 2006 GM introduced new upper control arms on
K2500HD's. The new factory upper arms are much
thinner and lighter than the previous design and therefore will not
properly support the load of a dual shock mounting application. Fabtech
has addressed this with a Dual Shock System that includes replacement
upper control arms constructed of 1.5 OD DOM tubing with urethane frame
pivot bushings.
The first HD system to hit the dirt
was our 6" system clearing 35"
tall tires. Lift is accomplished via
one-piece cast drop down steering
knuckles attaching to heavy-duty
1/4" thick, high arched lower
control arm crossmembers with
an integrated differential skid plate.
Front and rear crossmembers are
connected via tubular support
tubes to provide additional front
suspension rigidity.
Recommended 33/1250R17 tires w/ 17x8 wheels w/ 4 1/2” BS w/ minor trimming
